1. Structure of the Curriculum

MBA Program

MBA Program Department of Business Administration offers 3 categories of MBA. These are: MBA for Business Graduates, MBA for Non- Business Graduates and Executive MBA (EMBA)

a. Duration of the Program
  • Years: 1 year for MBA (BBA graduates) with Internship/Project Report/Thesis 2 years for MBA (Non-Business Graduates) with Internship/Project Report/Thesis 1.5 Years for EMBA with Internship/Project Report/Thesis
  • b. Semesters: 02 Semesters for MBA for BBA Graduates and 04 Semesters for MBA (Non-Business Graduates) with Internship/Project Report/Thesis

d) Total minimum credit requirement:

MBA Regular (Business Graduates): 42 credits, Special course waiver available for BBA Students only. Course waiver allowed for only MBA regular graduate students is subject to the condition that candidates have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (C+) in their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. No waiver will be given on MBA 04135106, MBA 04175201, MBA 04135202 , 04 Major course(s), and Thesis Project. Students who are below 3.0 CGPA in the BBA program must apply for approval for a 42 credit course.

MBA Regular (for Non-Business Graduates): 63 credits, special course waiver available from foundation courses only. Course waiver allowed for only MBA regular graduate students is subject to the condition, that candidates have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in their undergraduate program.

MBA Executive: 51 credits are fixed for executive MBA. No extra course waiver. For executive MBA 2 to 3 years of job experience must be needed in the corporate sector (such as Banks, Insurance companies, Govt. organizations, Multinational organizations, National Limited organizations).

f. Minimum CGPA Requirements for Graduation:

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree requirements are as follows:

  • (i) Completion of 3 Credits Internship/Project Report/Thesis with at least a ‘C+’ grade (GPA 2.50) .
  • (ii) Passing of all the courses individually with minimum 2.0 and maintaining a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
g. Maximum Academic Years of Completion:

The MBA program has been designed for 1 year and 4 months to 2-year and 4 months. However, the program registration will be valid for 7 years from the admission date. So, the maximum academic year of completion is 7-year subject to the approval of authorities.
